What we collect

This website uses no analytics, no advertising and no tracking cookies. Our host keeps standard server logs (IP address, time and the page requested) for a short time, for security and to keep the site running.

Cookies

Only the technical cookies WordPress needs when an editor logs in. Readers get none.

Videos

Our videos are shown in YouTube’s privacy-enhanced mode and load only when you press play. From then on YouTube (Google) receives data under its own privacy policy.

If you subscribe to The Briefing, we store your email address and the date you subscribed, only to send you the newsletter. It is sent with MailPoet, which may count whether an email is opened and which links are clicked. Every email has a link to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your address at any time.

Links to YouTube, X and other sites take you to their pages, where their own privacy policies apply.
